Yeah, as Metin mentioned - get those push-up handles and use those. I find them a little easier than using your hands and they're easier on the wrists.
My goal is to do handstand push-ups without a wall as well, but it's taking longer than I thought! It's frustrating, but I lose my balance when my head gets close to the floor.
