 2K12 Goals???

Well 2K11 passed and i think its time to open a topic for our new goals for this year so we can look back in one year from now and see how much we progressed.

My goals:
Get and hold back lever for 5-10 secs
Get front lever
Get better at planche or even get a planche on pu handles!!!
Be able to do 2-3 pull ups/chin ups with 50kg on me and maybe a OAC
Complete BBR in less than 8 mins

These are my long term goals. OFC i have more short term goals but if i write all my goals here there will be no space for u to write ur goals Razz

ps: Thnx ironloo for starting the topic 2K11 goals, it helped me see how much i progressed.

Im pretty new so didnt get to write any 2k11 goals, il try be as realistic as possible with my goals..

by Dec 2012 my goals are:

1. Be able to do a handstand push up on the pull up bar and hold for a couple seconds- currently can hold hand stand for 10-12 secs

2. Get to 40 clean pull ups consecutively- currently 33

3. Be able to do 5 clean looking front lever pull ups- currently hold a 12 sec front lever

4. Pull of a "Half and Half" (oac to one arm dip)- can do oac

5. Hold the planche for 5 seconds

Similar to you Sai i'm relatively new and expecting 2012 to be a big year for calisthenics improvement. In 2011 I had a starting weight of 160lbs and managed to get up to 176 with the same Bodyfat % or possibly even less. The weight gain was due to a combination of weight training and calisthenics, however now I am leaning much more towards calisthenics.

Goals

1. Bar-Barian 2010 Requirements done within 6 mins(Can do the 2009 Reqs in under 6 mins)
2. 20 Muscle ups (Currently 10)
3. 5 Freestanding Handstand Pushups (Currently 10 wall Hspu and around 10s freestanding hold)
4. 1 arm Pull-up/Chin-up (Currently barely managing a negative)
5. 30+ pull-ups (Currently 25)
6. Work towards a full planche hold(Tuck planche at the moment)
7. 5-10 second Back and front Levers(currently 2-3 sec)
8. Reach a lean 185lbs (Currently 176lbs)
9. 1 Bodyweight weighted Pullup(Currently 52.5kg 1 rep)
10. Pistol squats +10kg(Currently 7 full pistols)

Wow seems like a LOT but a few of them come hand in hand I suppose.

#1 GOAL = complete the (BAR-BARIAN REQUIREMENTS), last time i attempted it i was 1 muscle - up short.

While training for the BBR's i will learn new skills i will increase power/strength/endurance to a whole new level on this journey.

Things to accomplish before the end of the year:

One arm pushup
One arm chinup/pullup
Muscle up
BBR in <6mins
Gain mass to become a lean 150-160 lbs. Currently around 150 with some excess fat from the holidays.
SIx pack visible without flexing
Front and Back lever
Planche

-my arm to heal 100%
-get to 125lbs

hold a full planche(can hold 12s tuck planche right now),tuck raise to handstand straight arms

front lever full(15 s tuck front lever right now)
back lever

one arm chin/pull up

one arm handstand pushup

planche pushup

90 dergree pushup

done BBR

A full ROM flawless technique pistol squat on each leg
A full ROM flawless technique one-arm chin up on each arm
5 x handstand press ups with full ROM negative depth
10 x one-arm press ups with good technique, legs not too splayed.

Go hard, get stronger and master advanced level moves. Does anyone here do crossfit?!? I heard that they dont evn lift heavy weight plates. If you ever see one of them Pressing, the plate is prob not a 45LB, its prob a 10Lb. Ive personally seen how they kip on all of their pullups. I prob wouldnt even bother, or, if I did I wouldnt kip and Id use real plates

Ive been to a few crossfit classes, yea its true their form is not really the same as most others the way they train is always for time but I wouldnt say they always use "light weight" .

In my opinion i reckon all sport that promote a positive and healthy lifestyle no matter if we agree or not about form and weight they use as long as its a safe way to do it, one way or another must be for a good cause right?

Bar barian lee is a certified crossfit coach, you can ask him for details about their training methods if you want

Im new and iv got many goals

20 pullups. Currently 5

20 one arm push ups. Currently 8-10 each arm

5 Free hspu. Learning how to do a handstand without wall.

10 pistols. Currently I myt be able to do 1 with right leg and negatives with both legs

Some more which i can't think of but those 4 are my main goals.

this guy for example... This is from facebook and Im friends with a CrossFit instructor... I saw a pic of a fairly small woman doing the eaxact same press and just couldnt beleive it, so, I asked the CrossFit Instructor how much did the plates weigh, and, he told me 10lbs each. Im sure that they use heavier weights, but, he basically told me that they primarily work with plates around 10lb

Brv, i totally get what you saying. And yea its true most the weights range from 2.5kg to 25 kg i been myself, they can make pics really decieving like they lifting heavy because the 2.5 and 25kg weights are the same size..

My point was it doesnt matter how heavy it is as long as its "sport, and fitness" its for a good cause. So in my case i wont bring peeps like them down because weak "or" strong people doing a good thing doesnt deserve to be gunned down.

- do 40 one arm pushups with both arms in a row! (current 11 on each)
- do a handstand pushup! maybe 10!  (current still training for it)
- get a ripped calisthenics physique!  (pretty good so far.. abs coming out soon Wink )
- do 50 towel pullups in a row! (current 16 in a row)
- 1 muscle up or more! (0 muscle ups, planning to go to the park to try it whenever i can.. cant attempt at home)
- human flag for 1 second or more! (never tried it, but plan to do it soon)

Ring Muscle Ups
10 Full ROM Hand Stand Push Ups (Can do a couple of head to floor ones atm... need to get some paraletes!)
V Sit
Straddle Lever
Straddle Planche Push Ups

Get knee fixed, and get back to pistol training!
(Was on 10 till my knee starting hurting)

OK I'm gonna post here too, so I can see how I do at the end of the year.

- Run 5k in 20 minutes (probably about 23.5 now)
- 1 x MU (not even thought about attempting)
- Handstand (free) for 10 secs (about 2 secs now, but still next to wall)
- 1 x HSPU (against wall) (doing negatives, still crashing head down last two inches!)
- tuck planche for 3 secs (no idea where to even start - can do frog stand, but can't lift legs off arms!)

I have no idea how feasible these are, especially the tuck planche, but I'm gonna try my best Smile
