Save the money for an extra month, so you get some more for a 40 or 50lbs vest. It will be worth it!

another question..

what would be the best buy for me?

gymnastic rings or the weight vest or a dip station?

i currently do not do dips.. so i don't know..

the only reason i want the rings is i can do dips on them at first and muscle ups later.. what do you guys think?

Well for dips I just use two chairs placed close together and I don't need a dip station

If you don't do dips, you ain't training!

Dips are probably the best exercise for triceps, even in bodybuilding!

They are part of the basics which you need to master, its like the bread and butter of calisthenics.

Get a dip station

use chairs for the dips they work fine. i would buy the higher capacity vest with less weights so its cheaper and so you can upgrade when you get more cash.

Get a vest. Aim for at least a 50 to 60lber... Start doing dips and push ups while wearing the vest... If you don't have parallel dip bars then get creative... Look for rails, playground equipment etc... I personally am a very big fan of the ZFO vests... Check eBay... A 60 pounder is $85 shipped

I think I saw some 60 lbs vest on ebay some weeks ago. They would be a nice addition to your training.

As other members said, the 20lbs vest is too light for most people and you can't do any real progression on that.

I'd seriously be careful about that, especially with heavier loads

Firstly, the bag might not be able to cope with the weight, you risk damaging yourself and your surroundings (like the floor)

Secondly, you can put uneven strain on your body which could damage yourself. Particularly your (lower)back. Keep the weight as close to your body as you can and try and spread it front and back to balance out.

This isn't so much of a problem under 10kg but will be with greater weights.

Thirdly, the straps may cut into your shoulders quite badly (dependant on your bag)

Although none of this really matters if you are just planning on doing pushups with it. However you could then just find a friend to sit on your back Wink

A simple back pack with padded straps is going to be fine with up to 50#. If you use sandbagz for the weight how the heck is that going to hurt anyone? I plan on using mine till the straps rip off. Then ill order the mir airflow vest. A vest is way mor versatile than that belt. Interesting but gimicky. Try taking on a hill run...

Sandbag is good but vest can do serious damage to your joint's and tendons Smile and the weight is 20-30KG~ it's hard 2 cary in other way the belt weight is just about 2,5KG/5LBS and your shoulders dont get pressure because there's nothing on them...and that belt has 3stages light medium and heawy .Heawy is about 40KG that says enough Smile

For sure, when working out with a vest you can damage joints, but if you are careful and build up to the max weight how is it that much different than if you just weighed more? Is it more dangerous for a 220lb man to run up a hill than a 180lb man? I dont get it. sure if when I get my 50lb vest I slap it on and go for a run and do burpees and whatever I could stress my joints that arent used to that load during those exercises. But if I train up gradually and get used to the weight like it is a part of me...then what? is it still dangerous?
I hear about fellas f-in up their bodies all the time, it was vest training, or it was a bicep tear, or a pec tear from super heavy bench presses. Anything can hurt you or you can pretty much hurt yourself doing anything by how you are doing it....

Am I right? is there something Im not considering here?

btw in the army I was doing 12 miles with 60lbs in my ruck in under 2 hrs over different terrains...my joints are fine.
