Hello everybody I am just starting calisthenics not long ago and I am trying to attain and improve some bodyweight movements at the moment and have come up with sort of an routine
My goals are
1) increasing the numbers of my muscleups
2) increasing the numbers of my handstand pushups
3) holding the front lever for >5s
I have come up with a progression of muscleups in such a way
what do you guys think of this progression?
I am thinking on having a weekly routine like this:
MON, WED, FRI
front lever training 4 sets of hold + ~20mins high intensitycore training in the gym
and GTG for handstand pushups 6 days a week
will I be putting too much stress on my shoulders since all three moves that I am trying to improve on invloves a lot of shoulder strength, or would it be ok as long as I don't feel a substantial amount of soreness?
some stats kinda tell where am I at:
I have never maxed out my back lever hold but for sure I can hold it for at least 25s
alternating single-legged front lever hold max: 15s on each side
muscleup max: 8
for the front lever training, would it be more effective to hold it at a time which is close to failure or to have a preset amount of time?
please comment and criticize my plan, thanks guys
